About Us
Chris Hamilton

Chris developed a love for cycling at the age of 10, sparked by his enthusiasm for BMX and freestyle riding in his hometown of Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY. During his early teenage years, he joined the newly established High School cycling club, participating in group rides to and from Prospect Park on his restored vintage Raleigh Reynolds Record Steel road bike. As an adult, Chris furthered his cycling journey as an active member of the NJ Major Taylor Cycling Club, where he previously served the board. His dedication to the sport transformed him into a skilled group ride leader, and he competed in various cycling events, including L'ETape in France and the Unbound Gravel 100 for three consecutive years.
Like the name Tailor Fit implies, Chris is passionate about bike fit, combining hands-on experience with a friendly, rider-first approach and training across several fit philosophies.
Megan Schmidt

Megan was honored to join Chris in expanding Tailor Fit Cycles to a storefront, because the world is a better place with more bike shops in it! Megan's worn several caps in the bike industry - from a nearly 15 year run at the one-and-only Marty's: working sales, store admin duties, service writing, leading rides and helping run events, to 3 years in sales at a cycling ecom company, and directing programs for a national bicycle retail organization.
You'll find Megan at the shop often - and if you're ever in need of a local route inspiration via a RWGPS file, just ask! Along with nerding out on geometry details, mixed terrain recon (with or without a puppy trailer), commuting, and chasing the perfect road frame, it's one of her passions!
